Memory Lane! Whoo!

Memory Lane... the tag that gets everyone involved. Got this from a few friends and I thought I would play the game. Here's how you play

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and i had together. it doesn't mater if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory of you. it's actually pretty funny to the responses. if you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to tag your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave me memory of you in my comments.

EFY!!!!

Before I begin, I will say that I know I skipped Girls Camp, but I don't have pictures from that yet, so I will wait. But right now...
EFY HAWAII!!! Oh my goodness. It was everything I could have ever wanted and more. It was absolutely flawless. I met the most incredible people, felt the most incredible spirit, and had the most incredible time! And I owe every good time I had to my absolutely beyond inexplicably phenomenal counselor Meg. :D I just get so happy thinking about her! She did so much for me it's crazy. I wouldn't even be able to explain it all on here. Just know that I love her oh so much and she's nothing less than an answered prayer and a miracle in my life! We took sooo many pictures together because we just couldn't find "the right one." Hahaha. We had these three random guys take so many pictures of us and we were laughing that they were probably really scared of us. Hahah. But we finally ended up on our favorite one! Which is the one below. :) But yeah, Meg is just like such a role model to me. I mean, you have not lived a complete life until you've met her. She's just too great for words!
Our picture! We finally both love it! Haha.

But yeah, so the whole experience was insanely spiritual. I got closer to Heavenly Father than I think I ever have before. It's absolutely fantastic. All of it. I'm so sad it's over! It went by way too fast. But now I'm so lucky that I get to go to EFY again in three weeks in Provo! Man, I can't wait. And with Allison, too! I just wish Meg could go... :( Then it would be perfect. :)

EFY was just too great of an experience to actually write about. I covered the basics. Just know that it was the greatest experience I've ever had. I didn't know if it could top last year, yet it did. I'm so grateful I got to go! Man I'm so blessed I can't even believe it.

Happy Birthday Rachel!!!

Our signature cell phone picture

Ahh Rachel. My favorite little bundle of light. You always make me happy, whether you're aware of it or not. Just seeing you're adorable smile makes ME smile! So I'm just so grateful to have best friends like you. You continue to amaze me all the time. You're so freaking talented at everything you do, it blows me away! Well now that you're 15, I'm the last of the bunch that's still 14, but oh well. Gosh we have had some of the most fun times that I've ever had in my entire life. What from sleeping on the trampoline to BYU volleyball camp. And not to mention the freaking greatest plane ride that I've ever been on! And we have our Build-A-Bears that are so great. Hahaha. I can't wait for this summer! I mean, we get to have Girls Camp together, BYU volleyball camp (again) together, and Deer Valley volleyball camp. And even though we won't have EFY together again, we'll be hanging out plenty much throughout the summer. And that's a statement, not a question. So we've been through a lot together, and our conversations and such have been the greatest of all time! Haha. P.E. this year was phenomenal all because of you. I seriously don't know what I would've done if you didn't have that class with me... *shutters* oh I don't even want to think about that. It was my favorite class because of you! We're just so much alike Rachel and I love talking to you because you always understand and we have such of the same opinions on just about everything. (Except the beach and the snow, but whatever) I feel so comfortable around you. Like, I'm really myself. And I love that feeling! Haha. Well you're amazing and I love you more than words can describe! I hope you had an amazing birthday!! :D

Ahh the beach.

The beachers. :) (Birthday girl on the far left)

Yes so Kara's birthday is today and today is Sunday, so Kara had her birthday party yesterday. And to all of our joy, she decided she wanted to go to the beach. And all the people in the picture was the whole crew. Two more were invited but couldn't make it. It was wonderfully small, because I hate big parties. And yes, one guy with six girls. :)
It was an absolutely amazing day. Beyond. I got really close to the two people that were invited
that  I didn't know well. We got there and ate lunch, played volleyball (we all play :]), chilled with the tides (we never went all the way in), went on a beach side walk, played frisbee, soccer, more volleyball, cooked hotdogs for dinner over a fire, took amazing pictures, and had cupcakes for dessert. Even the ride home was super fun and freaking amazing.
The weather was absolutely phenomenal. It wasn't hot or cold. As you can see, I wore a long sleeve shirt. I wore that all day! And everybody else had on their bathing suits, and none of us were either cold or hot. It did get pretty cold at night, but I loved it. I didn't want the day to end it was so fun! It's times like these that I love living in California. :)
(And P.S. I totally took that amazing surf board picture. :D)

Happy Birthday Kara!!

Everybody's birthday is this time of year! In fact in may, my friends Courtney, Kalene, Kara, and Kjersten. Haha how awesome is that? But anyway, it really is Kara's birthday today, I'm not late with her. Isn't that crazy that her birthday is on Mother's Day this year? Hehe.
Well Kara here is amazing. I haven't known her as long as I've known Courtney, but that really doesn't matter. She's one of my best friends and I am so excited to room with her at volleyball camp this year! We're going to party non stop. The craziest thing and the thing that I love most about Kara is that we have the EXACT same taste in guys. Now I know that's kind of weird, but honestly, we have not found one difference yet. We like the exact same guys, the exact same things about those guys, and we like the guys the same amount. It's insane!! But I love it. We have always said that we're going to marry
identical twins when we grow up. :)
Anyway, Kara is so much fun to hang out with. We always hang out before school because we are the only ones with a first period. :) For my
Medallion Night this Sunday, Kara and Gina are going to be singing my favorite hymn in the world. Kara is such an amazing singer. It takes my breath away every time! Which is why I absolutely cannot wait to hear her and Gina sing. They're both amazing. I've told Kara many times that I could easily fall asleep every night to her singing.
Kara is known for her crazy laugh. Everybody stops and stares when she cracks up just because it's that intense. But I love it. She's known for her height as well. 5'9 I believe? She's a beastly middle blocker in volleyball.
I don't even know what else to say about her! I love her so much!!

Happy Birthday Courtney!!!

Well, Courtney is the first one out of our group of best friends to turn 15. Which means one more year until the big 16! It was great fun on Courtney's actual birthday. Rachel, Kara, and I went over to her house with the 3 layer cake that Rachel and I made and some food from her favorite restaurant for lunch. She had just gotten out of the shower and she didn't have any makeup on, which if you know Courtney, is something she would never be seen in. And to my great astonishment and happiness, Courtney didn't say a thing about it and even took pictures! It was great.
So Courtney. You are so amazing. If there is one person in this world that I can honestly say is the closest thing to a sister without actually being one it would be you. Without a doubt in my mind. We've been through it all together, good and bad, but we've always come out on top. We've done pretty much everything together ever since I met you, which would include soccer, softball, volleyball, piano, church, school, seminary, EFY, Girls Camp, camping, etc., etc. I do remember in sixth grade the one season when you played school soccer and I played school volleyball. It was weird. Haha. I was even the one to accompany you on your very first plane ride, which I must say I am quite honored to admit. I love you so much Courtney and I wish you the happiest birthday ever!!!
Courtney is so amazing. She's gorgeous, and she deserves it because she works hard at that. Even to seminary, she wears her make up with her pajamas and wet hair. She's known for her weirdness. She really is just so weird, which is why she fits right in with our group. :) She's so smart and has a 4.0! She's freaking an amazing left side hitter in volleyball and I must say that she is one of my favorite people to set. :) And you know what the best part is? I'm the reason she does volleyball! Me! It's great. Courtney has an amazing style and always looks her best at all times, which I really admire. You're amazing Courtney Lauren Brown and I love you!!

Randomness is Amazing.

Well, I wrote a poem hecka long ago in English that I really liked. I was reading it again and I realized that it wasn't half bad. So I'm going to post it so that everybody can get a chance to read my amazing pea poem! It was an assignment and I had to write a poem in the form of Shel Silverstein. He's amazing. So yeah, here it is. Hehe.

Two Peas in a Pod

There once were two peas in a pod.
And let me just say-they were quite odd.
They both were green,
and they both were mean,
and their names were Chad and Todd.

Every day in their pod they awaited,
for something that was truly belated.
They wanted some friends
for they had only them,
and their time together was outdated

“This pod is so lonely!” they cried.
They both gave up and sighed.
For they were too mean
all they had was fiends
and all their other siblings had died.

So alone in their pod they remained,
silently hoping for a change.
If only they were kind,
I’m sure they would find,
that their wishing was not in vain.

For one day while they sat in grief,
their pod got picked off of the leaf.
They were put on a plate,
getting eaten their fate,
and the whole time they sat in disbelief.

A girl came by and picked them up.
She’d get a good snack with a little luck.
But when put in her mouth,
they were quickly spit out,
and all that was said was, “Yuck!”

Turns out she could taste how mean they were,
and that didn’t taste too good to her.
So now they’re alone
In the trash by the phone,
completely alone forever.

So do not be like Chad and Todd,
though they looked good they were frauds.
Though they were green,
they were very mean.
So please don’t eat two peas in a pod.

ARIZONA!!!

Where could I even possibly start to begin with this?? I just came back from tuck-son!! Well, Sierra Vista exactly, but I think it's funny the way Tucson is spelt, so I had to add that in. But anyway, it's probably one of my favorite trips I've ever taken. :D It was just totally incredible to chill with my favorite cousins! (and cousins once removed we found out [go google!]). I probably got more inside jokes in these last couple of days with Matt and Lori than I've made with some of my closest friends over like 5 years. We're just that cool! So obviously, I went to Arizona to visit Matt, Lori, Cody, and Elena. It was pretty freaking amazing. I really just didn't want to leave. :) What did we do you may ask? Well, let me explain...

-We met the jean jacket nazi (no jean jacket for you! RECEIPT!!)
-We experienced lucky skin (what's this on my mouth? eww i think it's matts lucky skin!)
-We rode in the small car (good thing we're in the small car and can fit in here. oh i wish we were in the big car so the window wasn't so high! hey were you the girl on the phone?)
-We cranked up the music on the way to coldstone (YEAH TOAST!)
-We forgot money...more than once. ({1}[lori] jenna do you have any extra money? [jenna] no. [lori] could you hold these sandwiches? we'll be right back. i left my money at home. {2} [matt] oh dang it! lori has my credit card and i don't know the pin number for this one!)
-We learned a lot about telling the truth (would you like a twice-as-nice opinion on that one?)
-We discussed the discovery of milk (hmm what are these? let's pull them. hey! white stuff! let's drink it! wow! look how strong my bones are!)
-We ordered pasta (could you just read the whole menu please? now describe that one. I could've sworn there was chicken!)
-We played Guitar Hero ([matt]i just don't get how you strum so fast! [jenna] you don't strum on those notes. [matt] oh.)

Matt beasting it up on Medium!

-We watched Charlie the Unicorn many times (chaaarrlliee!!!! lets go to candy mountain!! [look dad i'm on candy mountain!])
-We stayed up until 3 AM (matt. matt. MATT! pepsi? ice cream? chocoloate? nothing?)
-We got Indian nail polishers (look how shiny my nails are!)
-We made S'more inventions (that's the greatest invention since frankenstein)

chocolate inside the marshmellow. :)

-We learned new words ( [lori] you BEEYO... [manager] why hello ladies how are you? [jenna and lori] oh just great!)
-We earned orange slices (great hopscotch! here's an orange slice!)
-We fell asleep in dirt (i'm just going to lay down right in front of the fire...)

isn't she adorable in the dirt??

-We had a great dinner! (go delios!!!!!!)
-We looked at boogers a whole different way ([cody]mom, a burger. [lori] go get a kleenex then. [cody] no that's alright, i'll just put it back up)
-We wrote fridge messages (jenna, i think your spelling is getting better!)

it's only true :)

-We ate healthy junk food (hey, it's better than peanut butter dipped in chocolate)
-We played Clue! ([lori] DEEHEEHEE!! i know the answer! i'm so excited! AAHAH i can't keep a poker face! [matt] it was pro plum... [lori] INTERESTING choice. [matt] mr. custard?)
-We blamed Elena ([lori] ok, i swear that was elena)
-We deformed ourselves (stay right there cody...)

Cody and I doing the pirate face!

-We ate super nachos!! (oh look a french fry! *chomp chomp*)
-We made an amazing fire! (burn baby burn! [go twin!])
-We almost ran people over (why ya'll up in my grill?!)
-We were creative in our breakfast making (oh no there's not enough room!)

Matt with the greatest bowl of cereal in the world...

-We had a water drinking contest ( [jenna] *slurp slurp* i finished! [lori] but you still have ice left! [jenna] you filled it up!)
-We made a Christian Siriano fan club (so fierce!)
-We love words (crankees! befuddle! dookie! holy dang! leoplurodaun! [magical leoplurodaun!])
-We put the neighbors tumbleweeds on fire ([neighbor] hey who took my three tumbleweeds?!)

We made sure it didn't start a fire on the other side of the fence.

And much more! Imagine if I had stayed longer than four days... Wow. We even decided names for my future four kids, two boys and two girls. The girls will be Mallory and Elissa and the boys will be Brigham and Reese. Awesome right? My husband better think so! Dahaha. But really, Matt and Lori are two of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life! I'm so blessed to know them and be related to them. :) I can only WISH that some day I will be such great cousins/ friends/ parents/ PEOPLE as them. I can't wait until summer for our family reunion and I can see them again! Even though I'll be moving in with them shortly. :) If only they knew how much they really meant to me... I love you guys!! I guess you could say that the whole visit was pretty dang FIERCE!!!

Here are some more pictures for your enjoyment. Hehe.

My cousins once removed. :)

My twin. <3

Favorite cousin! (i look so sad. dahah)

Easter Time!!

So of course today was Easter! The first picture to the right is my favorite one of the whole day. :) So Easter started off with a bang...going to church! The lessons were cool so that was all good. When we got home, we took a bunch of pictures and then went to Grandma's house for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Then when we got back, we decorated our eggs and had our own easter egg hunt and then ate. A lot. Lots and lots of chocolate. Hehe. The pictures actually turned out really well even with my rebellious facemaking. I hate taking serious pictures! It's too hard! But somehow we managed. I was messing around with my camera in the kitchen which is how I got that amazing peep picture down there. I also got a few other cool ones but I'm not posting those. Sorry. :) It was just an all over amazing and chill day that didn't go by too fast or too slow. And I enjoy that of course. I hope everyone else had a great Easter, too!!

I have names for all of these pictures :)
starting from the top it goes...
Looking at Bruiser
The Boys
The Rentals
The Crazy Kids
The Girls
The Life of a Peep
